Diameter/height, and diameter/girth relationship of some rain forest tree species of Karnataka -- India.

Abstract

Regression equations of linear form are presented for the regression of reciprocal ht. on reciprocal d.b.h. (av. of 2 measurements) in 10 emergent species (max. ht. 56-69 m according to species). Ratios of g.b.h. to d.b.h. and of stump girth (at 15 cm ht.) to g.b.h. are also given. The ht./d.b.h. relations have also been generalized into a single equation for all the species (r = 0.978).
