Plantations of Acacia auriculaeformis (Benth.) A. Cunn. in West Bengal.

Abstract

Describes and discusses sowing and planting techniques, soil preparation, spacing, and fertilizer treatments. Tabulated data for diameter and height growth, m.a.i., and pulpwood and firewood volumes (u.b.) are given. It is concluded that A. auriculaeformis is a good substitute for Eucalyptus 'hybrid' on certain semi-arid sites.
