Farm
In the USA, a plot of 3 or more acres of farmed land, where the annual value of agricultural products, not including home-garden products, amounts to at least $150, either for home use or for sale. Also a place of less of 3 acres if the annual value of sales of agricultural products totals at least $150.
Farm (commercial)
In the USA, a farm where the annual value of farm products sold is greater than $250, where fewer than 100 days of off-farm work were done by the operator, and where his income and that of his family from nonfarm sources are less that the value of farm products sold is less than $250, such as institutional farms etc.
Farm (other)
In the USA, a farm with products sold valued from $250 to $1,199 annually and where the farm operator worked 100 or more days off the farm or the income of the operator and his family from nonfarm sources was greater than the value of all farm products sold. It also includes a farm where the value of farm products sold is less than $250, such as institutional farms, experimental farms etc.
