Information is key to progress. An important objective of CABI’s work is to develop local knowledge and capacity. Our UK collection of fungus cultures is world-renowned, and we have been able to develop the skills of managing culture collections for the National Bureau of Agriculturally Important Microorganisms in India, enabling them to record and explore the microbial biodiversity that India offers.
In addition to this, we have built capacity for India to utilize exotic fungal biological control agents for the management of invasive alien weeds.
CABI’s Publishing division produces world-renowned databases, online resources and printed and electronic books covering agriculture and the environment, which are key resources for people throughout both the developing and developed world.
