Overview
The Invasive Species Compendium provides linkage through to the latest CAB Abstracts data on invasive species, on an innovative web platform. The database contains around 1,500 species and is growing by the day.
The open access version - free for all - is now available. It is updated daily - and will be maintained years into the future.

Why have we produced the Invasive Species Compendium?
In 2001, CABI’s Compendia Programme Consortia identified a need for a Compendium on Invasive Species in recognition of the threat posed by invasive species to the global economy and environment which coincided with a similar recognition by the US National Invasive Species Management Plan.
CABI’s long-standing expertise in invasive species makes us ideally placed to develop this resource, in partnership with other expert organisations; the US Department of Agriculture is a lead partner with CABI in the project.

About the Compendia collection
CABI has been developing and providing compendia for over 15 years and has a wealth of experience in collating and editing information, presenting it through innovative software to provide an authoritative tool.
Compendia are encyclopaedic mixed-media resources that draw together scientific information on all aspects of a subject area. They are excellent research tools – saving time for researchers, students and practitioners.
