In this chapter, the biology (morphology, life cycle), classification, phenotypic and antigenic traits, geographical distribution and host range, diagnosis, economic importance, control, treatment and epizootiology of Viral haemorrhagic septicaemia in fishes with particular emphasis on cultured rainbow trout in the European Union were discussed.
