What is the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture?
International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is one of the world's leading research partners in finding solutions for hunger, malnutrition and poverty. IITA works with partners to enhance crop quality and productivity, reduce producer and consumer risks, and generate wealth from agriculture. IITA research for development (R4D) addresses the development needs of tropical countries and mainly on cowpea, soybean and maize, banana/plantain, yam and cassava.
Engagement with the ASHC:
The ASHC project will works with IITA projects in the banana & plantain, cereals & legume and root & tuber programs to develop demand driven information materials that increase adoption of technologies as well as decision support tools that guide informed use of inputs.
