tachyarrhythmia
tachycardia associated with an irregularity in the normal heart rhythm. Includes atrial tachycardia, sinus tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
re-entrant t. one caused by a depolarization wave crossing areas of nonuniform conduction and excitability.
