Abstract

This issue covers seven articles on issues dealing with: (i) role of miombo woodlands as a safety net in relation to human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immune deficiency syndrome crisis in Malawi; (ii) inventory of Adansonia digitata in different districts in Malawi; (iii) overview of the Millennium Seed Bank Project safeguarding 10% of the world's dryland seed-bearing species; (iv) Adaptive Collaborative Management-Community health and natural resource management; (v) positive and negative attributes of black wattle (Acacia mearnsii); (vi) seed germination studies for mulanje cedar (Widdringtonia nodiflora); and (vii) sustainable utilization of bamboo (Oxytenanthera abyssinica) and Acacia polyacantha.
