Abstract
Fruit set was highest (up to about 50%) with heat-tolerant cvs (able to set fruit under high night temperatures) both in the field and in the greenhouse. With moisture-tolerant selections fruit set was up to about 35% in the field but was negligible in the greenhouse. Traditional cvs (neither heat- nor moisture-tolerant) had poor fruit set (<10%) under both conditions.
