Abstract
A peak in the fruit growth rate preceded a peak in the abscission rate by 1-2 weeks. GA at 50, 150 or 450 p.p.m. decreased fruit abscission and increased fruit set when applied 2 weeks after stigmatic receptivity, but not earlier. Most fruits developed in response to the highest concentration, and treated fruits were larger than untreated ones.
