Abstract
11 strains of rice were grown at 5 salt levels (15, 44, 46, 53 and 56 exchangeable sodium percentage) in artificially salinized cemented field basins. Increasing salt level resulted in decreased panicle fertility and grain yield/plant for all strains. Salt tolerance varied according to the selection character used.
