Our mission and direction is influenced by our member countries who help guide the activities we undertake. These include scientific publishing, development projects and research, and microbial services.

CABI celebrates its centenary

2010 marks 100 years of CABI. Since its beginnings as an entomological committee in 1910, it then developed into a Commonwealth organization before becoming a truly international service in agricultural information, pest identification and biological control in the mid 1980s. Find out more about what we have been up to in the last 100 years. Improved AC now live!

The new platform for The Aquaculure Compendium, CABI's comprehensive resource with images, maps and articles covering all aspects of aquaculture, is now launched. Please visit the new site on www.cabi.org/ac.

The revised platform includes: easy-to-use search engines, clearer layout, taxonomy browse, regular updating, recently commissioned and updated datasheets, core data from WorldFish Center and many other sources.

From research project to market: CABI team bulks up kale seed in Kenya

Two new varieties of kale have been licensed in Kenya, with a further three in the pipeline, thanks to a seed-bulking project funded by a CABI Innovation Award. Three Innovation Awards are presented annually to internal teams who propose projects to contribute to furthering CABI’s mission and objectives. Find out more about this project.
