Dr John Regazzi retires as Chair of CABI’s Board

After 12 years Dr John Regazzi is retiring as Chair of CABI’s Board, but to ensure continuity and a smooth transition he will remain as Chair Emeritus and Special Adviser to the CABI Board until the end of 2011.

 

Gary Whitfield, Chair of Executive Council for CABI, extends his appreciation for Dr Regazzi’s many years of service and “on behalf of CABI’s member countries, ExCo wishes to thank Dr Regazzi for the valuable contributions he has made to CABI and his leadership role in CABI’s Board of Directors that has resulted in many successes and accomplishments”.

 

Trevor Nicholls, CEO of CABI, said – “We are deeply indebted to John for his stewardship and guidance over the last 12 years, which have seen tremendous changes in CABI’s portfolio of businesses. CABI is now better placed to meet the changing demands for its skills and services. We look forward to drawing on John’s help and expertise over the next 18 months.”

 

John Regazzi said – “It has indeed been a privilege and honour to serve CABI for the past 12 years.  I feel that CABI is now well equipped to cope with the transitions in its changing markets, and will continue to make a substantial contribution to efforts aimed at reducing food insecurity, rural poverty and developing sustainable agricultural systems.”
