Because of our Centre’s substantial activities in biological control, it is not surprising that its staff play an active role in CABI’s contribution to aspects of biological control policy, linking with organizations such as FAO, OECD, EPPO, IOBC and national authorities, to provide inputs to protocols and guidance documents required for regulation, as well as cutting edge research on the development of methods to assess risks associated with potential biological control agents.
Long-standing and close ties have been developed in Switzerland. Our partners here now include several Swiss universities, ETH Zürich, the Federal Agricultural Research Stations, Intercooperation, the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, the local agricultural college - Fondation Rurale Interjurrasienne - and the plant protection industry.
In addition to our links with many organisations in western Europe, we've also built strong partnerships with various organisations in other parts of the world – particularly in North America, Eastern Europe and Asia.
