UK science site - Egham
CABI's science site at Egham, Surrey is our oldest in-country centre. Working in close partnership with our other offices around the world, the centre's objective is to improve agriculture, the environment and people’s lives worldwide through applied research, communication and scientific publishing.
|
In developing regions, our aim is to underpin and promote good farming practices, improve access to markets, and help growers better manage their plant health problems.
In addition to this, we also work in the developed regions such as Europe and North America. Here, we mainly concentrate on combating the threat of invasive alien species which are adversely affecting the natural environment and native biodiversity. Doing this means partnering with stakeholders at all levels – from farmers to NGOs and government policy makers.

"Much of the work of the UK team is part of wider projects which frequently include many international collaborators; this ‘uniting’ of international expertise is so important when addressing the key agricultural and environmental issues of the twenty-first century."
Sean T. Murphy, Regional Director
